Older Pets

Pets of all ages deserve to live their lives in as stress free and happy environment as possible but we often forget that as our animals grow older they suffer similar aches, pains and illnesses associated with ageing in humans. Older pets in particular deserve to live in a pain free environment so even the common age related stiffness and mobility problems can be effectively treated. Veterinary medical advances in recent years have seen significantly improved pain relief and long term treatment options are available for conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, heart problems, gastro-intestinal problems and many others more often attributed to “just old age”.

Weight

Obesity has become a major “quality of life” issue for both humans and our pets! We offer “weight watcher” services that can help you monitor pet weight at little or no cost. Free regular weight checks plus dietary advice and exercise routines are available to all registered clients. We stock a full range of veterinary and standard pet foods in association with the major pet food manufacturers. Not least we offer plenty of practical advice and encouragement – essential when on a diet!

Teeth Care

Regular dentistry checks for your pet are now considered important as teeth and gum health has become one of the faster growing veterinary problems we encounter. Modern pet foods, longer life spans and lack of supplementary foods such as raw meat and bones for dogs in particular has led to some problems with animal teeth health. We offer FREE dental health checks and can offer advice on the best methods of dental care including specific dietary changes, chews and cleaning products or full dental procedures to retain healthy mouths and sweeter breath.
